Draft. Written in plain English by Claude for Kate to edit. The rules themselves are a judgement call and should be yours.
What’s allowed
Last updated: [date]
Be as strange, funny and specific as you like. That is rather the point. There are only a few things that are not allowed, and they all come down to the same idea: your page is about you, and it should not be used against anyone else.
Not allowed
- Pretending to be someone else. Your page must be about you, with your own photos.
- Other people’s photos without their permission — including photos of an ex, and including anyone who has not agreed to be on a public page.
- Anyone under 18, in any photo, in any context.
- Sexual content, explicit photos, or anything advertising sexual services.
- Harassment — naming, shaming or targeting a specific person.
- Hate directed at people for who they are.
- Contact details for other people, or anything that identifies someone who has not agreed to it.
- Selling things, recruiting, or using a page as advertising for something that is not you.
- Scams, fake identities, or anything designed to extract money.
If you see something wrong
Every published page has a Report this page link at the bottom. Use it. It goes straight to us and you do not need an account.
You can also email hello@cupidgonerogue.com. If a page is about you, or uses your photo without permission, say so and we will treat it as urgent.
What happens then
We look at every report. If a page breaks these rules we take it down, and the owner is told why. For anything involving someone’s safety, a child, or intimate images shared without consent, we remove it first and ask questions afterwards.
[Decide and state a response time. Proposed: within 72 hours, or 24 for the urgent categories above.]
If your page was taken down
Email us. If we got it wrong we will put it back. [Decide whether there is a formal appeal step.]
